CWA/AT&T 2017 Orange Contract Bargaining Report #19

CWA / AT&T 2017 “Orange” Contract Bargaining

February 28, 2017 – Bargaining Report #19

After concluding the short week and a half break from the table, the Union and the Company resumed talks today. While the faces were the same for our Union Bargaining Team, the Company’s original team of 7 was cut down to 4. When asked where the rest of their team was, their reply was they returned to attend to other projects and this was the new Company bargaining team going forward. This reduction in team members is a direct reflection of the Company’s low priority they have placed on this round of bargaining and shows they aren’t interested in those issues over 21,000 of our members have deemed Priority #1. The rest of today’s session was spent reviewing and discussing the many open issues still on the table including the data still outstanding that the Company still must provide. Discussions were held on Wages, Commissions, their unfair and unethical Attendance Policy, Job Security for all titles, among the many other issues still open on the table. Strong involvement from the membership is making a difference! Our mobilization efforts need to be scaled up going forward to change that low priority Company mindset. Let them know in your ENPS Surveys, show them with your information picketing, rallies and solidarity.

Let them know we aren’t going anywhere without a fair contract!!

Stay strong Sisters and Brothers!!
