CWA/AT&T 2017 Orange Contract Bargaining Report #14

CWA / AT&T 2017 “Orange” Contract Bargaining

February 10, 2017 – Bargaining Report #14

The company wasted no time today showing their greed and hostility at the bargaining table. They are still insisting on no pensions for new hires, and they rejected our benefits proposal. They want you to pay an outrageous amount of your medical costs. The good news is the company left our 10 sick days intact, the bad news is they want you to wait a lot longer to use them and NO ONE, regardless of seniority, gets paid on day one of their illness. Their wage proposal was offensive and does not keep up with the cost of living, and it doesn’t address our need to bargain fair commissions. We didn’t think it was possible, but they are greedier and more out of touch than we thought. Obviously, none of this is acceptable to you or your bargaining team! With only one day left, the company still has not supplied all the data requested over a month ago. This bargaining team will fight as long as it takes to get a fair contract, and we will not settle for their concessionary demands. Keep up the fight, stay mobilized and stay angry!!

Stay strong Sisters and Brothers!!
